I am Donna DaCosta, mosaic artist, newlywed, full time technical writer, adventurer, cook, Pinterest junkie and fur momma to two beautiful Yellow Labradors.
Eric is my husband. Bailey and Gimlet are the fur monsters. We live in the gorgeous state of Montana in a charming log cabin we have been actively renovating for almost 3 years. Think gingerbread house meets French chalet. The renovations have been challenging but rewarding because for the first time in years I have an actual studio space to create my art.
I am a self-taught mosaic artist and have always been drawn to the reflective properties of glass and the emotional quality of color. Blending that fascination with my quirky sense of humor I create fun, funky, whimsical mosaic art for the home.
I am inspired daily, often in ways that surprise me, and those inspirations are reflected in my creations.
My mosaic collection is hand made using stained glass in a rainbow of colors, jewel-like millefiori and glass beads intricately cut and constructed. I finish my mosaics with a coordinating grout to give them an inviting quality.
