Early in our relationship, Eric and I were sitting at Crissy Field Beach in San Francisco where a toddler was having a complete meltdown. It made me cringe and gnash my teeth together, and I quipped, “doesn’t it make you want to run out and have a baby?”, to which Eric replied, “Hell no!”. I was completely relieved. You see, while I was almost certain he was “the one”, we hadn’t yet had the talk about children and whether we wanted them. I only knew for sure that I didn’t want to be a mom. It’s not that I don’t like children, its just that I believe only people who really want to be parents should have children.
Since that day, our life has been full of laughter, adventure, travel, dog wrangling and us. I wouldn’t change it for the world.
Over the years, Eric has taken to making me breakfast in bed on a regular basis. I’m not a morning person, and this simple act makes me feel loved, nurtured and, well . . . like a princess!
We’re newly married and I had a funny thought this morning when he presented me with scrambled eggs in bed. He didn’t marry me for my eggs, but I married him for his! I shared this with him, and we both “cracked” up.
I encourage you to embrace the little moments and to check out the new Easter egg designs in the Shop.
