The first months of 2019 have been both an exciting and frustrating time for me because I am a newlywed (hooray!!) and we’re going through a home renovation which has taken over my studio space (grrrr!!).
Over the past weeks, I’ve been working on our dream wedding and it was exactly as we envisioned it. An intimate elopement with a romantic, rustic winter theme. Think soft colors and snowflakes. Luckily, I was able to keep my creative juices flowing by making all the decorations myself. I worked with paper, felt and wood which are different mediums for me and it was a lot of fun; however, I miss working with glass and am itching to get my space back in order.
Having my studio in a state of chaos and being unable to create has been a real annoyance because I had new designs planned for New Year & Valentine’s Day and was unable to see them through. But, I’m not one to dwell on the negative and 2019 is all about new beginnings for me. So, stay tuned because I’ll be sharing fun musings about my crazy, happy life, and…
Studio Sunday is making a comeback
I’ll be reinstating my weekly Studio Sunday posts here on this blog each week. These posts will showcase a new design or event happening in my studio each week. Please like and follow my Facebook page for notifications of new blog posts.
I’ll be paying it forward
I love the practice of paying it forward. So, I have plans to donate several items for charities close to my heart. These charities and designs will also be showcased on here on the blog.
I’ll be expanding my mosaic collection
In the spirit of new beginnings, I will be adding new items at the Mosaics by Donna Store to include home décor, nursery décor, and jewelry as well as new additions to the ornaments collection. I may even start dipping my toes in some customized items to further meet my clients gift giving needs.
In the coming weeks I’ll be excited to share a first preview of new spring and Easter items that will be available in the store. You can also receive a sweet treat by subscribing to my newsletter.
Cheers to new beginnings!
